So last night I went to gas up my Jetta only to find the Gas Station nearest our home, usually a frantic hive of activity, virtually a ghost town (despite gas which was only $3.97, cheap compared to the average of $4.43 we paid while in CA). As I filled my car, alone, I decided to get a car wash. While waiting to enter the car wash I noticed a goose/duck similar to the one pictured above on the grass next to the parking lot.
Typically such fowl are not prevalent in our part of town. While admiring the bird, suddenly a blue older model civic pulled into the gas station. Two young men jumped out of the car chased the duck down, grabbed it by it's neck, then threw it in their trunk before speeding off, presumably to prepare said bird for dinner.......is it really that bad?
