Another reason that I love my MacBook: I went to Fry's and bought 2gigs of DDR2 ram for $49.95, installed them myself, and now my little computer is insanely quick with its computations etc...I can have multiple windows open, with complex content, and move between them as if each were the only window open at the time.

The best part is...I don't even know the function that ram plays..I just knew that more would be better and Mac made my computer so that I could add more myself. I remember when I bought it back in 2005, I asked what the difference was beteween the $1099 and $1299 model. The employee said, "Nothing really, just a bigger hard drive and more ram, both of which you could upgrade yourself for a lot less." At the time I said, cool yeah I could totally do that..but honestly I thought it would be impossible. I was soooo wrong.
