Merry Christmas!!

This time next week Whitney and I will be on our way to Hawaii. Never had a tropical Christmas. Should be awesome. I also can't think of a better way to finish a semester of seminary. Our last official day of school is the 22, and we are gone the 23.

We watched Beyond The Gates of Splendor yesterday in missions class. Unbelievable. I want so badly to do great things for the Lord. I want to be a part of His purposes and I want to witness the power of his Holy Spirit. Something that especially stood out was the community that the missionaries had in the jungle. They were a group of friends that committed to serve the Lord together.

Studying right now is pretty weird. I know that its an important time of preparation but I get anxious. I want to use the things I am learning. Who cares about knowledge is it is never applied.

I remember reading Augustine's confessions a few years ago. There was a point which he committed his faculties to the Lord. After that his impact upon the world was enormous. I want to use any gift that God has given me for His glory just like Augustine.
