YO!

My wife's blog is so excellente I thought that I would post just to try  and keep up with her. This week I have plenty on my plate = 2nd Exegetical on Ephesians 5:22-33, teaching the books of John for Dallas Bible Church, Sermon on Proverbs 22:22-23, translating Jonah for Hebrew, and the one I am most interested in, a paper of my choosing for Soteriology.

The paper I am writing is about interpreting Hebrews 6:4-6, "It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. " So far I have enjoyed reading for this assignment. The reason I am most stoked on it is that it is something that I chose for myself unlike all of the other stuff that is chosen for me. Just being able to pick what I will study and then write about enhances the experience about a billion fold.

Yesterday we had a baptism picnic at our church. It was cool because the whole church watched some people get baptized and then picnicked on the church property. Whitney and I are really enjoying the people that we have met there so far.
