Mmmpf......

I think that technology is amazing. I am all for bio-technology as well. However, when I read this I got a little vommit in my mouth. Something about human-animal embryos makes my stomach turn.

Why would anyone want to live in a world devoid of all reference to spiritual life among humans? That is what this comes down to. It is a complete focus upon extending physical life with no regard for the devastating long-term effects upon people emotionally or spiritually---it is de-humanization. And it is as horrifying as what God saw when Israel was sacrificing their babies in the fires at the idol that presented Molech. He destroyed that nation and scattered its people rather than let that go on. Now, here is Britain, preparing once again to sacrifice babies for a purely human convention, the belief that people who can afford it should never, never be sick or die. What kind of life do they expect to have? Would we rally be better off living in a world full of people who would accept the creation and killing human life in order to live longer themselves? I would rather die than live in a world like that. It is the ultimate in selfishness. It is self-worship. What small gods we have when we worship ourselves. We are useless, pitiful gods who save and bless no one.

You can bet that it won't be the poor among us who "benefit" from these inventions. Their bodies will be bought and sold and harvested for their dna and organs so that the rich can live pain- and death-free. And all over the world genetic inventors and sales agents get will reap the profits.

Mmmmpf, indeed!
